What is the best tuner(programmer)? I have a 05 v6 with auto. I want the tranny to shift good but hard when I run it hard. My tires are shorter then stock so I need to change the speedo. As far as power I want the most I can without killing mileage. I would have thought by now we could have a programmer that was able to use on more then one car. I do have a 100.000 mile warranty so if I do have to go in for work I am sure I would have to set it back to stock or lose warranty. Has anyone used more then one and what would be the best?

I didn't have a problem

I took my car in for a 10000 mile checkup, and they didn't have anything to say about the CAI or Exhaust or the tune if they even noticed it. The warranty won't be void unless the issue is directly related to the change you made with the tuner ie. you blew the motor because you took off the rev limiter. There is a lot of information in the threads on the subject, just do a search.

Best is relative. What most people are going with now is the SCT XCALII. PM Rygenstormlocke, he had the Diablo and now has the SCT.

You are taking a chance on the warranty, even if you go back to stock. BUT the mod has to cause the failuer. BUT the burden of proof is on you. Some dealers could care less. Ford is paying THEM to fix your car, after all.

I took mine in stock for my 5K and when it goes in for the 10K it will have dual exhaust, 3.73s, a TrueTrac, a girdle, a CAI, and a tune. I thought about being deceptive about ti all, but thought better of it. When I take it in for the work I will just establish a rapport. If that dealerhip gives me a hard time, i will take it to any of the 20 in the area. SOMEONE will take it!!!

For the automatic the SCT X-Cal2 is your best bet. I personally use and recomend Lidio from Alternative Auto (www.alternativeauto.com). But you can't go wrong with Doug at bamachips or Justin at VMP...

If you want hard fast shifts order the X-Cal2 from Lidio and have him set the shift firmness to "barbaric"! LOL! My website is down right now (exceeded my bandwidth! ) but it should be up tomorrow... You can download my muffler video "From the Front" and you can get a feel of how fast the shifts are...
