How does someone with no mechanical skills go about doing this? Do I order the parts and take them someplace to have them installed? Do they order the parts? What about side skirts? They put on before or after the exhaust or at the same time? Any help would be appreciated!

depends on a lot of things... what kind of side exhaust you looking for?

Roush/CDC?

or

Spintech(Cobra R Style)/Steeda?

the spintech and steeda do not require any body moldings... the Roush and CDC have their own made...

mechanical skills or not its not too difficult to put it on. if you have a lift it woudl be much easier- if not it can be accomplished with jacks. for the roush i would put the exhaust on- then put the side skirts on (not permanently just line them up) and then adjust the tips to fit the skirt and then permanelty attatch the skirt.

mike, i put on the sideskirts on first and then installed the exhaust and lined everything up... that way i had a lot of flexibility when it came to the body and with the exhaust there isn't much you could mess up...

I had purchased and put on the steeda side exhaust approx. year and a half ago, took it off like the 3 mos later, terrible. Never fit right, sounded weak. I ended up having a muffler shop make mine (no muffler actually) and now it fits perfect and sounds brutal. Any body wants steeda side exhaust mufflers let me know you can have them.
My suggestion to you is to get the mufflers and tips you want and have muffler shop build the rest of your pipes so it fits you car perfectly, an out of the box system is very difficult to get perfect fitment, every car is a little different, production tolerances. It only cost me like $120 for the shop to install it with the pipes they built.
just my .02$

I put Classic Design Concepts on my car and they fit perfect, that was two years ago. Just don't bolt or install anything permenantly, until everything is trial fit, then have them painted, then install in all the predrilled holes and markings..
