I have had a billet grill that I bought in my trunk for about a month an a half now and I am torn between putting it on or not. Every one thta I talk to or just set it in to look at says it looks great but I dont know. I kinda just want to take the pony off and have an empty grill look. Its not a cheap looking grill or anything. Just looking for opinions. Thanks

It only takes a minute to do, why not just put it on and see if you like it, then if you don't pull it right out again

I love billet grills in most cases, they look really nice on some cars!

Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot

This is a bad pic, I had to lighten it a bunch for it to show.

But I painted teh billet grill black, and teh pony metallic gunmetal. I like it. Looks way classier than teh stock grill.

I just got one of these grilles but found that there are 4 screws holding in the stock grille on the bottom. How did you guys go about gettin these out?

I was considering this mod myself and wondered about how to get those screws out also. Anyone know? Do you have to remove the bumper cover?

There is a powdercoating shop near where I work and I am considering getting a billet grille and having them powdercoat it black (if that's possible). I think that would look sweet with the crome pony and no corral (sp?).

My other idea is to just paint the corral black, like the bullitt grille. I'm about to paint my chin spoiler because it is scratched and faded and has some wax marks on it, so I may do the then corral also.

I just removed the bumper cover today to install the grille and found those 4 screws are bolts, just very small ones!

I just used a 7mm wrench on them (yea metric-standard but it fit) to get them out. So, you do not need to take the cover off but it is tidious to undo 4 of them little bolts with almost no room to move around.

Removing the bumper cover on this car was a snap tho!
