black smoke after intake install

i installed a cobra intake with an adjustible fuel pressure regulator and after i installed everything i went to start it up and it sounded like i had a heavy duty cam in it and it blowing out black smoke? any ideas what this may be? the idle was normal but sounded like it was missing. any ideas?

the goes from the lower intake to a fitting on the upper intake on the right hand side

Sure the fuel pressure regulator is almost all the way down ?

that is a sure sign of a huge vacuum leak. get some starting fluid and spray it on all the gasket mating surfaces and hoses that you messed with while it is running. if it revvs up while spraying, you found your leak.
