Hey OS, how hard is that to wire up to an aftermarket radio without using the supplied external speaker? How do you have your system wired?

Give me ONE reason why this one is better than the factory one!
All the features this one has are all included in the factory Mobile-Ease, PLUS you have more options,,, like with the names, Moto holds only 20 names, vs 40 in Mobile easy(each 2 locations) adding up to 80 numbers storage.
Also Moto allows up to 4 different Bluetooth phones, Mobile ease 7.
One cool option that moto doesnt have is Confrence call, which Mobile ease supports!
Basically its a more basic version of Mobile-ease, for mor money!
Mobile -ease costs $368 INSTALLED
Moto is $299 plus $99-$129 installation fee.

Last but not least Ive never been happy with Motorola products, my Razr stopped working after 6 weeks, so I switched over to THIS !!

I recommend Mobile-Ease, cause Ive had it in my 05 for the last 10 months and it works great!

i can't get rid of nextel, all of my employees have nextel, and its how we get things DONE|. i do have a tmobile sidekick 2, but only use it for data. i am gonna stick it out with nextel, i am a PTT addictt, and once the phones come out that can run on both iden and cdma it will be smooth sailing!

if you wanna talk about FUTURE, sure,, but RIGHT NOW, GSM is the way to go compared to Nextels stone-age technology!
Once the W-CDMA is in use on the market, of course it will be the best way to go, cause its an upscaled G3 technology that is better in every way compared to GSM.

I won't switch to another carrier unless they have instant connection like nextel. I save sooo much time with PTT

Well, Cingular is already buying the equipment from Lucent, and installing it. So, it really isn't all the far in the FUTURE.

Not difficult at all - I accomplished it in about 2 hours. My new question is this: I'm replacing my stock radio with an in-dash navigation / Satellite radio - does anyone think mobile-ease will still work? I'm optimistic it will, because the harness between mobile-ease and the radio could just be plugged into a second harness (for the aftermarket radio). All the control box for the mobile-ease would do is mute the speakers and take temporary control of the sound while on a call, right?

any thoughts?

well it didn't work. There was an additional plug on the Mobile-Ease that had nowhere to go, so now I've got no Bluetooth and a Mobile Ease that is up on eBay... I'm thinking about looking at something like the Motorola, it is similar to the Mobile Ease and since I can't use that, the Motorola may be the way to go. I don't want to clutter up my dash with LCD screens, etc. Too bad they aren't making more aftermarket radios Bluetooth-compatible.

On a side note, I installed the Pioneer AVIC-D1 navigation with XM and the iPod interface and it integrates tremendously with the Mustang - I'd recommend it to anyone.
