I am looking for some estimates on what I should pay for a paint job on my car. I have a 68 convertible and it has been stripped to bare metal. I have already had all the major metal work done (replaced a quarter panel and 3 patches from small rust spots). I will need the bodyman to fit a shelby trunk, end caps, tail light panel and side scoops. I want a nice job and I was thinking $4k to $5k is reasonable. What do you guys think. I live in the the Portland, Oregon area. Does anyone know a good body shop in the area.

Most body men won't do an all over paint job for less than 5k. If you want your fiberglass and tail panel fitted as well you can add probably $1500 more..Paint and materials alone for a good all over are going to be over $1000 on the low side

Hey Mike I noticed you are from NC..any suggestions on a body shop in the Raleigh area..My 69 has been stripped and I am looking for a decent shop to do some patch work and paint it....Its going to be a daily driver so not looking for a "show" paint job?
Thanks
