Definitely respect these cars. Drove the C6 ZR1 this past weekend and the handling surprisingly impressed me much more than the 430hp. Newly repaved Ortega hwy was this car's fotre. I was lucky enough to drive it 60% of the time.

Sure was. I'm glad I got no speeding tickets. I should have shot a video of my dad driving, he can actually take the turns with some balls.

is that his ride? I'm sure the zr1 suspension is a step over the z51 suspension, but either one is shocking over a normal car. Much different ride/tightness over the standard vette. I haven't pushed the car, I can't get it to grip out of the hole until about 65mph with the stock tires(asphalt, not concrete) and I have no means of removing the traction control with the stock rubber on houston streets. Road trip to the texas hill country should be fun over Thanksgiving.

How many cans of "Soul Glow" were used on that interior to get it that shiny?

Sick car.

How dare you deny me the chance to drive the car I understand that you are afraid that I could work through the gears better than you and the amount of jealously that would come afterwards has resulted in me not even getting to drive it . Leave it stock and just enjoy the car for the time being--it's still new to you so no need to have downtime installing anything. On the bright side, if you get brave and have a weekend off eventually you can bring the car down here to the sticks and we'll put it on the lift to install the exhaust.

thats sweet, though I would hate to buy that car after it comes out of their fleet. I guess it really makes the saying, "drive it like you rented it" accurate.

please tell me that you left the GT with no rubber left?

My best friend is a branch manager for enterprise fleet vehicles here in town. Unbelievable what people do to those vehicles over a few months of renting them.

Beautiful car man! I had a 99FRC and loved it and it was 60 horses down from that one so I know its a fast beast

BTW I believe th 03 ANV editions had the black and red interior with different stitching on the head rest but could be mistaken

And Cobra Red; So you drove a yellow ZR1 and a Z51? I know the power difference is big but how was the handling difference? Was it huge or just a little better from a "feel" standpoint?

Thanks Bill, I love the car. It handles exceptionally well compared to what I am used to. I averaged 29.6mpg on a 180 mile trip on sunday at 72mph

Laser, thanks man! Love the FRC's. I was in the market for close to a year for these cars, and in the end, it came down to an frc or z06. Both a sweet cars.

The red interior that you are talking about is the "mod red" interior. It is not specific to any year c5 z06. It can be found in any 01-04 z06. The 50th anv. is an emblem on the corvette sign on the trunk and hood. No other obvious signs that I have seen.

Very nice 'Vette. Here's my Dad's with my GT in the background. I'm hoping his '99 is part of my inheritence one day.
