lol, I just picked this 92 'Vert on Monday for $2200. It only has 65,000 original miles. 5.0/5 Speed. A little body damage to the front left fender... and the interior is housed. Car runs like a top, and with the exception of an exhaust is stock down to the air silencer.

Question... Is there anywhere I can replace the seats with similar ones? Or do I have to get them reupholstered? Its out of my budget right now.

Also, what works well for cleaning the convertible top? Its filthy.

Thanks guys... let me know what you think. I think with a little TLC, this thing is gonna be tighter than Michael Jackson's first date. Maybe not that tight, but cool none the less.

nice find , you should just deal with the seats for now and wait to get them re-upholstered....If it was any other stang replacing them would be an option but its a 7up! With all new white leather that thing would be rockin.

Maybe some seat covers until then?

I don't think its a real 7up car... I think those were 90's. But it looks like one... with Pony wheels.

Nice Ride! I have a 7 UP, and they look good once you clean em up. Good luck with it. I would consider putting white wheels on it because that makes a big difference. I just got my new top on last week, because my top was nasty like yours. I would clean it with a degreaser. Just coat i on the top when it is dry. This gives the best cutting action. IF you don't spray it on thick then you will have spots. Well, good luck man.

Nice vert! How long had it been sitting before you bought it? It looks like that paint will definately buff out pretty nicely with a little work.

At autozone or walmart you can buy this foaming cleaner called TUFF STUFF. Its in a tall yellow/red can with a yellow cap. My father uses it on his boat and it works awesome, I used it on my interior before and it works good.

I'd spray it on your leather and let it sit for a few seconds then take a chenille (sp) towel and rub it pretty fierce, then put some sort of leather conditioner on there Lexol makes a nice one.

On the top spray it very very liberally all over it let it foam for a few seconds then take a medium bristled brush and brush it in circular motions then either high pressure wash it off or wipe it off with another chenille (sp again) cloth.

Good luck and post pics of what it looks like afterwards, that stuff works miracles.

I think the car was sitting for about a year and a half.

Thanks for all the input guys. Gonna keep getting her cleaned up little by little. Had a lot of little BS problems... window not working... door lock actuator...no radio... aftermarket alarm was broken and had to be taken out... but I'll get her looking good. Next year I may paint it a House of Kolor candy... just to make it nicer.

Gonna leave this one stock though... keep it as my driver... Eventhough I have enough parts in the garage to get in running 13s or better...

No, one of my buddies from Flemington had it. And a different friend had it before that...

7 up mustangs

The 7up mustang was a 1990 limited edition LX convertible. It came in Emerald Green with a white top and white leather interior with sport seats. The Emerald Green paint extended to the body-side moldings and the dual remote outside mirrors. The 7up bottling company planned to give away 30 of them at the 1990 NCAA basketball finals, they never did. A total of 4103 cars were built--1360 five speeds and 2743 automatics. Mustangs also came in Emerald Green in 1991 and 1992 then switched to Bright Calypso Green in 1993. Hope this helps clear up some of the questions about the 7up mustang.
