Hello, my 19y/o just bought a 1965 mustang. I don't know any technical terminology but I'm hoping for some easy strait forward answers. We had to buy a complete new Elderbrock air filter setup because we couldn't find any filters for his old one. The new filter has a port on it, should I buy a tube and hook that up to the oil cap? It didn't have one before but the old filter did not have the port. The cap has a port also. I once owned a 1967 ranchero, but totally forgot everything.

Sorry don't have a pic of the engine.

You should be okay without any connections to the breather cap. I have put different types on my car throughout the years and none have ever had any attachments.
