I wanted to know if I was paying too much or if I was getting a deal on a Budget Saleen vert that I found. Initially the guy wanted 15900 but it is now down to 13300. It is an automatic 1998 vert numbered 05 of the 10 made for that year with 56k miles on the od. what you guys think?
Well even though it has lower miles for the year and car, its still not low to command top dollar. It's a car that was driven on nice days which IMO is how it should be done. Being that it is just a 4.6 2v and does not even have PI heads it is severely underpowered. I love the way those cars look however so I would say I would not spend more than 10 on it. Food for thought is 96-98 Cobra's go for 6K up to 13 for a supercharged same miles car. I would much rather have the supercharged Cobra than the stock saleen.
A car is only worth what you're willing to pay for it. If it's your style, and you have the cash, then go for it. It's more than I would pay but my style is different.
