Burnout Contest!

i entered in the burnout competition at the joliet Bi-Centenial park today. the past 2 years there havnt been any mustangs and go figure this year there is 6.
ive got a few vids but only this one is uploaded right now. there was 2 rounds this is the first one. i got 3rd place, bigass trophy and $20

gay...she only got me in the water box, the real smoke came on the dry pavement.

my buddy chad, he got 1st place last year but didnt place this year, which is BS cause some jeep cherokee got 2nd.

ya got to blow the tires up if you want 1st....I've done bigger burnouts with 2 people watching....with a crowd like that there is no telling what I would do. Next time blow em' the fug up. Treat those tires like you borrowed them off a friend.

i tried really hard in the second round but they just wouldnt go. i had the car revved between 5000-6000 the whole second round, and on the dry pavement the smoke was barreling off my tires. but you only get a minute in the water box and then you have to start creeping towards the cones, once you get to the cones your have to let off or you get disqualified, like 6 guys got disqualified after the first round!! i did borrow em off a friend but they only had 200 miles on em, and after the first round they were still new looking.

EDIT: i really wish she had taken a better video of the second round, when she stopped filming i wasnt even out of the water box yet.

my GF got a lot of pics thou, she used up 2 rolls of film and got real close, so maybe ill have some good quality ones when she gets em developed.

yeah, the pics turned out really good. Too bad the video wasn't coming from the same spot. Nevertheless nice work and it's cool they give a trophy.....and the $20 might almost cover all the gas you used up. I usually start my burnouts in 2nd and then grab 3rd. That way I can keep the rpms a little lower and not heat everything up too much.

i tried gettin it in 3rd, it didnt want to happen but right before they did tech inspection i took my electric fan off and moved it to the front of the radiator and switched the leads so it would be pushing, and put my stock fan back on. it worked great, the car never got over 180*
