Was wanting to ask all the stang folks is there any to do and not to do's when looking to buy one of these cars! i know nothing of these 32v engines! any comments or suggestions guy's and gals. Its' a pretty clean convertable everything works so far that i have checked and leather is 6 out 10. 114k and is unmolested. except for one muffler replacement. top looks to be free of tears and its getting a new set of rubber on all 4 corners. paint is a 7.5 on a scale to 10. and the price is 6400.00 and a tauras 9mm. so about 6750.00 cost for me. will greatly appreciate any thoughts! thx Don

If you can, see if you can have the guy knock off a couple bucks for the issues the dealership found. The issues seem to be very simple, and nothing major - just maintenance.

On the plug wires, it's hard to beat 9mm FRPP wires. Not a bad deal on the car, enjoy!

If money is tight just clean it up inside and out real well for a few days while you think about what to do next.

I usually SeaFoam cars when I first get them and every so often. New brake fluid is always nice. Changing the fuel filter is only $8 IIRC and could make a big difference if the one in there has more than a few miles on it. Make sure the clutch is adjusted properly. Oh and another thing that is real nice and cheap is to pull the rotors and paint the hats with some high temp silver from a rattle can. It takes a while to mask it off and stuff but it looks so much better.

Since it is a convertible you should immediately use a Ragg Top two part kit to clean and protect the top. You want to make it last as long as possible. What kind of condition is the top in?
