Can i buy a used tuner that may not be my specific year or model car. And still pay to have it flashed by steeda or bama or something. Im just thinking i can save a few bucks on the actual tuner if possible.
Yes, you can. I used an old SCT Xcal II to flash my '10 because I still had it left over from my '04. Make sure the previous owner returns it to stock and unpairs it with their car, or it will be nothing more than a paperweight for you. Once you have it and they returned their car to stock, you can either download a tune over the internet from Bama or Brenspeed or whoever you chose, or take it to your local tuner and get a custom tune done on the dyno.
