C&L inlet pipe install

I'm trying to get the C&L inlet pipe installed in my 96 GTS how ever the stock strut tower brace won't allow it. Has any one else had this problem and if so how did you get around it?

some cold air kits and inlet pipe will not allow the use of the factory strut tower brace. Plus info me on a 96 GTS?

96 GTS or S281, Barebones GT no options spoiler ect.Came from the factory stripped.

I had the same problem and solved it by selling it and buying a Demolet CAI.

A GTS was a 95 GT with cloth seats, no power windows etc..basically a stripped down V6 car but with a V8...
In 96 they offered a version of this car but no longer officially called it GTS but rather a 248A option package. Some call it GTS and don't try to correct them because they will bite your hand off.

Exactly. The 248A package was offered from '96-'98 and could give the appearance of being considered a GTS from '95.

Some of the spec sheats from 96 248A actually said GTS on them and got into the hands of customers eventhough GTS was no longer the official name of the stripped down version. Just adds to the confusion that is Ford.
