What would make the most power? A cam change using the stock heads or the stock cams and a CNC head exchange. Just tossing options around. Thanks for the help.

I would think cams and springs rather than head work if you had to choose only one and you are N/A. Besides you don't have to remove the heads (PITA) to swap cams and springs.

Okay since cams seem to be the popular answer. Would a stage one grind from like VT to pass emissions be worth the cash for the gain?

Blower would be great. But to invest 5 to 7 grand in the current car gets myself to thinking. What about the 05. Forty more horse out of the box. Really don't want to get caught moding the current car and have the 05 within six months have a blower available and be behind the eight ball again. Thats one reason why I started the thread. A possible solution for now until more definite 05 info is available. Just an opinion.

I'd rather make the most of the existing technology. Although the '05 will be basically the same engine w/3 valve heads there will most likely still be some trial and error with the aftermarket and a bit of a wait before all of the parts are available for the '05.

We have guys like Tim & Ronnie who have a pretty good idea of what the 99+ is capable of - personally, unless I just can't help myself I'll keep building on what I have using the existing/improving technology. When the aftermarket embraces the newer mod motor I'll start looking at it more seriously.
