We found these under the dash one is ubehind the glovebox, and one under the speedometer.

They look like light sockets. Put a test light on them and see if they are hot when the doors are opened...may be front floor illumination?

They are courtesy lights. They come on when you open your doors. They mount to the bottom of your dash.

That light socket is just pushed into that mount ,pull it out and glass bead ,wire wheel or sand the bracket and paint them dull silver and they will look like new . If you look under the bottom of the dash you will see where they were bolted

Bulb number is a #631.

If you can’t find a #631, another bulb that will work is a #1002.

One time when we were doing a photo shoot, we installed 1156 bulbs in those sockets. They really lit everything up. But we only left them in for about 30 seconds for fear that we would melt the wiring.

The proper 631 bulbs are still available from Wagner for under a buck each.
