pump is walbro for 89 5.0 just wan;t to know what terminal is positive

right there is no connector with it

If it’s a walbro, they make a connector with a red and a black wire, obvious which one is which. You don’t have this?

I don't have a pump in hand to see what side is what for the harness lead.

But you can either order this or probably can tell which side if red by the pic
