so i'm going through the wiki (mustang-tech.org) in preparation for some tuning (gonna install the 24#rs) and i'm noticing my version (newest one according to tweecer.com downloads) doesn't have some of the scalars mentioned in the wiki.

for example:

spark_min_for_tip-in_retard

closest thing i have to it is "Spark Retard for Knock Sensor" --> we don't have a knock sensor, do we? don't think so..

anyhow--all these articles are great, but it's a pain trying to figure out the differences in versions.

anything to correct this?

hmm, that's strange.

are you sure it's not in there. I know I didn't think I had it....then I looked further up on the list and it was there.

In the lastest version out, alot of the names for the scalars changed, more confusing if you ask me, get used to one thing and then bam somethin totally different. As I dont have much experience with the lastest version, I did a quick glance over the scalars and saw the one which appears to be it:

minimum_spark_for_tip-in_retard

set that value to what you want your timing to be at for that second you first shift into another gear.

that's exactly what i mean. all these manuals and tuning sites and versions of CalEdit have too many changes--there's really no standardization which kinda makes things tough to find.

thanks, TJ--found that one.
