Ok, any ideas on this? I was headed to a car show about a month ago, and my battery light came on, airbag light came on, my radio shut off, the tach stopped working and the car was bucking all happened as I was driving. I made it to the show, but after registration it would not start. I had someone jump me and it started right up. I figured it was the alternator because it was still original and the battery was only 2 months old. So I swapped it and the car started. I went to leave the show and after about 5 minutes same thing. Car barely stayed running. I had to throttle it to keep it going. Driving home all at once the volts shot up to normal and the lights when out, and it drove fine except for the bucking. When it bucks the tach drops slightly and then goes right back. Almost like it's missing. So now, the car starts fine, but the battery light is still on, the volts are at about 1/4 and it still bucks. I replaced the one white wire going to the alternator, because the old one seemed a bit loose, but that didn't help any. Any Ideas? Hopefully this doesn't sound to confusing. Any questions let me know and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
