I just installed my JLT RAI a couple days ago, and my car feels like a pig off the line now... This happen to anyone else? Could it be because the JLT's intake tube is so big that the air isn't forced in as much?

Right now i'm contemplating putting my stock tube back on and just keeping the filter from the JLT..

Try resetting the PCM after you clean your MAF.

it is very possible that your car is running a little bit lean with the new intake tube on there (thats assuming it does flow much better than the stock intake, which is debatable). As was said, resetting the PCM will allow your computer to relearn and correct for the increase in air.

It will relearn quickly on its own. I didn't notice any loss when I put mine on. I just had full exhaust at that time. Give it a little time to learn before you dump it.

Youre not really "forcing" air into the engine. Its still naturally aspirated. The engine is sucking in the air on its own, and the only advantage to a RAI is that theres plenty of cold air being blown into the intake tube, however it is not being forced into the engine.

I agree with the other guys. Let the car relearn first.

sounds like your sucking in hot air... the RAI does suck up UNDERHOOD air... but reset the computer...

I did and it's running better. Also, it has a heatshield so where it's getting the air from is not much different than the stock intake.
