So lately when I start my car it has some major hesitation sounds like its starving for fuel or air until it warms then it ran good. But yesterday when I took it out it was running like crap and barely idling so today I changed spark plug wires, sandpapered my dist cap, changed my fuel filter and pulled a few plugs they all looked good. When I first start the car it idles good for like 10 seconds then it starts to die. When I give it some gas theres major hesitation and as soon as I let off the throttle it runs for 20 seconds and dies. Yesterday when I was driving it was running ok until i gave it a bit of gas then it sounded like I had run out of gas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

When its running like crap do you have spark? It could be a bad TFI module. Also check fuel pressure, my 90 ran fine but when the pump was going bad it would run bad at times either cold or hot.

IAC is the thing on the side of my throttle body right that opens up to bypass the throttle body when idiling? I was thinking of that too.
Can it be cleaned or fixed or do I need a new one I asked one of my buddies to bring his by but he wont be around for like 3 days? can I check if its bad somehow? w/o a voltage meter thanks!

Yank it off..Spray about a Can of Throttle Body cleaner in there.Let it sit for a minute or so.Then..reinstall and see if it helps. It sticks apparently sometimes(and..if this Helps.Replace it!).

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

I'm sure its not the timing as I have been driving with it with the same setting for 2 months. I went though most of the surging idle checklist cleaned my IAB, checked my TPS, im pretty sure I have good voltage at idle I dont have a voltage tester but my gauge says its working, I cleaned my 10 pins, cleaned my MAF and spun it, changed my fuel filter, checked my grounds there all still in working order, I changed my ECT and ACT sensors, I took off the upper intake and checked my PVC it was all good, took off my EGR cleaned it theres no carbon build up it is new I just put it on this year, checked my fuel pressure regulator and theres no fuel coming out.... So does anyone have any more suggestions?? my car now starts good runs good for around 30-45 seconds then the idle turns to crap and it will stall if I keep it running.
