Has anyone had their Intake Manifold Ceramic Coated without sanding it first? I really don't want a chrome like finish. Just wondering what it would look like on a cast piece.

Why not just take a little time and sand it first. It just sanded mine before I painted it and it didn't take that long.

Yes, you can have it ceramic coated but the ceramic coating is only a few microns thick (pretty thin layer) so it will only cover up finer scratches or defects. You can contact JetHot, they have an office in Arizona and in Pennsylvania. I got a quote from them to coat my Cobra upper intake and it was $150.00, which includes shipping. I still don't know if I will have it coated because I don't know if it will give me the same shine as polishing it. I think I will just have to keep sanding and then polish it up. If you're not looking for a great shine, then just sand it down to a 120 or 240 grit and then get it coated.
