More than likely you have 2 chambers, but an easy way to see is measure the muffler...
16" long is the 3 chamber, 13" long is the 2 chamber. There were no 4 chambers, and the 1 chambers are small, I believe 8" long. Now whether you have a delta flow or old style mufflers (older style were louder) I have no idea the difference.

Correct. They are literally chambers within the muffler. The more chambers, the quieter. Check out www.Flowmastermufflers.com , it shows a cut-away picture for each muffler. It'll help you understand.
