I just goy my H pipe I ordered from Jegs. One of the O2 sensor holes has a big metal booger, looks like weld. Also theres no hook-up for smog pump. I thought the smog pump plugs into H pipe on stock exhaust?? Any thoughts or ideas??

H pipes only have O2 sensors.

Our engines don't have smog pumps. The 5.0's did. Today's engines are efficient enough to pass emissions without them.

About the metal "booger," if it looks like the o2 sensor won't screw in because of it, call Jegs up. They'll probably tell you to grind it down, or return it for a replacement.

My H pipe had one of those in one of the sensor holes when I got it. I was able to take a hammer and punch and pop it right off. Luckily, it popped off clean and the threads were fine. Not sure how big this "booger" is, but you might want to try that.

Thanks guys. I must have been in a 5.0 area when I read about the smog pump attachement. Well I hope to have this done Saturday. Today after work I'll stop by harbor freight to get some extra extensions and U-Joints. I havent crawled under this thing since July 04, so I guess I'll do alot of checking and maybe some lubing. I'll try to punch out the metal booger or use a dremel. Will find some way to make it work.
