i bought the material and planned it out, cut them out, welded them together. i like it, has the raw fabricated look.

let me know what u think.

welds look badass... Only complaint would be the fact its a little edgy but the fact ots made by you is awesome! Definately a talent there!

not installed yet, i had the bends tacked up the other day, took them and mocked them up. they lined up good. took them back to work and welded them. the smaller pipe that goes from MAF to TB, the straight part is longer than i need, i will have to go and cut it to the correct size. i couldnt get an accurate measurement. since the tranny isnt in my car and the engine is sagging back.

when i get it installed i will post pics of it.

thanks for the compliments.

ya would be fun. i always like the raw mechanical look like this does. something you see and say wow who made that. instead of just buying it.

soon i will be making a set of valve covers, i work at an alum fab shop. we make custom oil pans (wet and dry sump) and valve covers, the stuff we make is mostly for circle track stuff, not as much drag racing stuff. they are real high quality and i have been working there for a while fabricating and welding this is where i learned to tig weld alum. soon i will be making my own SBF covers for my mustang and it should match the intake real nice.

heres the website u can check some of the stuff out. we make some real nice stuff.if you think my welds are good on that CAI you havent seen anything yet.

I would'a just gone the cheap-o Home Depot sewer pipe route, myself, but what the heck ... those are some darn nice welds there, really. If it won't polish up, just paint it with some high-temp ceramic paint (silver or black would be nice), fab a fender bracket, and call it good.

Gawd, I wish I knew how to weld...

what part do u mean exactly? the flat piece that bolts to the old airbox location??

and itll polish up. we got some nice buffing wheels that will make alum damn near a mirror, havent got around to doing it yet, i may not bc it will get dirty inevitably and it will make it that much harder to keep clean. i'll see what happens.
