If anyone still remebers the fox with 28k original miles i was looking at last week, i finally went to check it out.

The owner has been in a wheel chair for 30 years so some things on the car have been modified so he could get into it easyer

Notes:

The Good -
28k original miles, clean runs great
very solid!
no body rust
Headers are shiny!!
Starts up real quick and strong!

The Wtf -
Centerconsole removed
E-break removed
Rear seat cusion missing (i wanted a rear delete anyhow..)
missing rear hatch speakers

The Bad -
Hatch doesent stay up (must be fixed)
Mufflers are rusty as hell
might need break work (maybe just some driving, hasent been used much in the last 10 years)
hood seems a little jiggly while opening
paint is a bit faded and has a lotta chiping under passenger side door.
needs tires

Here it is!

His Sale price so far is $5,500. What do you think it is worth and why? What should i break him down too if you think it is a good car?

what does the title say on the milage of the car?? reason i ask is that doesnt look like a 30k mile car at all. if it is indeed the original milage then i dont see how it got so dirty on the underside if was sitting more the most part for 10 years and not driven much like you stated.

otherwise it looks solid, engine and drive train looks un tempered with. does he have the extra parts that arent in the car so you can install them back in?

i'd try for 4500 cash at the front door and see if he takes it. it looks good, a little dirty but it looks like it will clean up really nice and be real clean, and the paint is a little oxidized but it will buff out to a good shine.

id like to note that most the the interior damage is from he jumping into the car on some device out of his wheel chair. The passenger seat became so damaged that he recovered it in leather.

it looks nice for a car with 128k on it. there is no way it only has 28k on it. 5500 seams a little steap to me, you can find something nicer for that price.

might have 28k miles, but it was beat to hell at the track, new tires and brakes?? Is that a surprise at all for a car that has a roll bar and track stickers on the bumper?? It probably has all the chipping from going off the road on turns at road course events.

3k no more.......if it only has 28k on its been beat on pretty bad...it looks to have sat outside for some time under sun....jack the car up and crawl under there....i made this mistake and found a nice hole in the floor board that i have to fix now...

oh hell just look at the pads on the cage...you can tell it had sat outside alot...just pass man...you can find a better deal...

I would car fax this in a heartbeat. As stated above. That Stang has a lot of wear on it for only being "28K". For that price you could find a much cleaner stock car, or a lightly modded stang.

I have a feeling there's more than you're being told. Bars in a stock mustang? That's kind of shady. I'm guess it was racing at one point and perhaps put back stock. Who knows.

Looking at the pictures, I also find it hard to believe it's a 28K mile car now. Just the way the underhood looks. I can see the car being a little weathered underneath from sitting outside all the time, but I purchased a 62K mile car a few years ago, and the factory mufflers were still completely intact.

What does the car have on it for tires? I see the ones on it are badly dry-rotted. if they are O.E. tires, I'd think that might be a dead giveaway, unless some other rims were being run on the car.

You can clearly see that the car was road raced prolly autocrossed as well, buy a handicapped person. IF you read this you would have known, Maybe its me, but i dont see whats so bad about the car, sure i wouldnt pay 5500 but take 4500 or so and make him an offer. Whats a center console, 40 bux on ebay? The seat issue, get some grey 1995 or newer seats in leather and be done with it. Its a mustang, so you already know your changing the exhaust, thats solves the rust exhaust problem. The paint aint that bad except where the side is is all scraped up, but just get it sprayed there, the rest dont look bad. Get the vin and check the mileage but im gonna stay with my original comment and say that the car prolly only has 28.000, its too hard to get away with lying about mileage when you can just carfax it. And i dont see a handicapped person gettin underneath the car and removing the speedo cable.

FNG, yes, you can clearly see that I had guessed that it had been raced... By *Not BUY* a handicapped person. However no where to be read that it stated the mustang was auto crossed, drag, ect. Just because it may appear that it was because of bars and stickers doesn't mean it actually was raced.

Perhaps the disabled persons didn't crawl under the car to remove a speedo cable but I don't see a disabled person putting bars in the car neither.

I also talked to the guys mechanic and he only thinks the mufflers/tires need work
(he saw the car for the last time last year.)

i might look into this one to this weekend..
looks good cept under the hood. Prolly a stupid teens car.

My car has 26k original miles and is driven on the highway, open road tracks, etc.. And you can see what it should look like or atleast close to it.

That car has seen ans unbelieveably hard life for 28K original miles. I would not buy that car. You can find tons of cars for $4500-$5500 that are in much better shape. I would keep looking.

Serously i doubt your car would look like that if it sat in a garage for ten years, untouched. **** corrodes over time if it isent cleaned.

Anyway. What under the hood looks bad? I understand the mufflers suck and the underbody could be cleaned and coated. But nothing else seems bad...

I think you all are just buggin cause of the miles.

Maybe im wrong.. Fine.. Point out a car that is in good condition for its price, in my area.
