Checking volts for TPS Sensor?

Hey guys, i installed an AFM PMS system and need to adjust the TPS to correspond with the PMS. Which wires on the TPS to a probe to the voltage? Also, i just installed the motor and primed it about 2 weeks ago with the motor out of the car, should i prime the motor again before i start it, or is it ok? Thanks!!

TPS is the green (+) and black (-) wires.

Not to hijack but since we are on the subject. Anyone know why when I check my TPS voltage, it reads .97 using the green/black wires, but if I use the green wire and a chasis ground, it reads 1.03?

Do not use the black wire as a ground. Use a chassis ground always....in this case, 1.03 is the correct showing voltage (which is high as you know)

You want to use the black wire because that's what the computer is using.

For the slightly higher reading with an indepenent ground, ohm the ground location your using out. You might find that it's got a few more ohms resistance than desired.

Wrong answer.

The analog to digital converter inside the computer uses the black/white signal ground as its ground reference point. If you have any doubts, I will be glad to post the schematic of the computer's internal workings that show the signal ground & it uses.
