Hey guys. I've been around long enough to know that the "search" button should be utilized before any exhaust question lol, but this is an opinion-based poll, so Search Police, back off.

Okay, now on to the question. I am trying to decide on a catback to to go with the UPR/MustangTuning O/R X-Pipe im gonna order. I want't a LOUD setup, so thats how i came to the conclusion of Bassani or SLP. What worries me is that some people say that Bassani is mellow and isn't too loud unless you get on it. I'm looking for a loud and mean setup to go with my black/chrome themed GT. Should i pick up the Bassani BX Catback or take the plunge and get the slightly louder SLP LM1's? I told you guys what im looking for in an exhaust setup so i hope that helps

The slp is the loudest i have heard. That being said i would not do an o/r x with it. The couple horsepower you gain over hi flow cats to me isn't worth it. The slp x is modular so if you decide to do lts in the future it can be shortened. Just something to think about. I do love my exhaust by the way.

If you want something loud with tone get the Bassani. If you want something obnoxiously loud get the SLP's.

Consider an in between alternative -- Magnapacks.

If you get the LMI's you absolutely have to run cats with whatever mid-pipe you get. i know because i've had 5 different SLP set-ups, and the LMI's with o/r pipes sounds like ass. the cats make a huge difference.

the best overall combo of sound + tone has been the LMIIs with an o/r X.

if you have to be the guy with the loudest exhaust, get the LMI's. if you want LOUD with a good tone, ante up the $$$ and get some Borla Stingers. Packs are ok too, but they're no louder than the LMII's (yes ive heard them in person) and i've never been a big fan of them, but thats just my opinion. the stingers are a bit louder than the packs and LMII's.

I wish mustangexhaust or someone had a clip of the SLP LM1's with just an O/R X-pipe. the only clip i've seen is with headers also, which make a big difference.

Bassani all the way! It's definintely worth the extra money; it delivers a really toney, loud, unique sound.

Well, on my old 99 GT i had the Bassani O/R X-pipe w/ 40 series Flows and im wanting the same loud exhaust tone out of this setup. I think the UPR O/R X and the Bassani Catback without baffles should do it.

BTW, out of curiosity, do the LM2's cost more than the LM1's?

I have the UPR o/r xpipe and the bassani catback on my car and it is as loud or a little louder than the UPR o/r xpipe and flows i had on it before. It sounds better than the flows IMO. The sound at idle is sweet.

Sorry, no clips now. I would definately get Bassani over the LM1's though. The sound quality would be a lot better. You said you want it something like your flows and o/r x pipe you used to have. It is similar, but bassani has a sound of its own. I wish i had a clip.
