I saw this <http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com/catalog/itemdisplay/637.html> on Classic Design's website. i was wondering if anyone knew anything else about the glass roof. How much would it cost to install also. i mean it looks like a really cool/unusual mod but it could get costly for the poketbook..

heres some more pics:

what would be the +'s and -'s to doing this...

I think it looks sweet. But im sure others will have their own opinion. I dont know how well that would do on a roll over tho. I rolled my camaro and i used the roof to hold myself up.

got an email from CDC last week. they said price is TBD, and availibility is late july. i would assume that the roof will be made out of laminated glass, similar to a windshield. then it could be structural. the structural integrity of the roof is in the side rails, and not the middle. from the factory, there are only two crossmembers, one front, and one rear. they are used for the pinchwelds of the roof, and allows a place for your urethane to go for the glass. i would not worry about saftey too much, if it is laminated it will be just as safe as your windshield. the plastic layer between the glass stops most objects from going thru the glass, just like windshields, but it wont stop everything...i think that installation will be very easy, like glass. i am just wondering how they will finish off the edges. will they supply some small panels to finish it off? guess we will have to wait and see when it comes out...

The CDC car was at the Ford Nationals in Carslile, PA a few weeks ago

The CDC concept car was sweet. The outside is very dark, I didn't notice the glass roof until I sat inside. I was actually looking at the dash kit, and then looked up. I was amazed. I talked to the rep, she said it would be a couple grand installed. She also explained that the sides of the car, around the windows, are replaced with carbon fiber panels as part of the install.
