I was reading about this stuff that comes in a pressurized can that you hook up to the fuel line instead of the fuel pump...not sure if thats correct. My question is where exactly do you connect the can? I read its in the trunk somewhere. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Danny

where i work we do a fuel system treatment and how we do it is dump a bottle of fuel cleaner into the tank. then we dump intake cleaner into a pressure bottle and put a air hose on the unit turn the air valve on high put it on the vaccum hose from the brake booster the start it up. we use a go pedal stick(a adjustable stick that holds onto the wheel and pushes down on the gas pedal and hold's it at 1500k)then let it do it's thing then after it has used it all we rev and hold it at 3k and let all the thick carbon flow out.(cars with over 100k are fun to watch because it looks like they are on fire!!!!)

You are correct about pressurized cleaner in a can. Ford used to use it to clean injectors. It hooks up to a hose that screws onto your Schrader Valve. You then have to kill the fuel pump by unplugging the relay under the seat or unhooking the inertia switch in the trunk. Then you open the can and start the car and let it idle. You don't rev it up! Just let it idle. It will run for a few minutes off the can and then stall out when it is done. Then you hook back up your relay or switch and thats it. I have done it before and it seemed to work ok. But I have new injectors now so......

Ford used to sell it. I haven't done it in quite some time now so I'm not sure if they sell it anymore. I borrowed the hose from a friend that used to work at Ford to do mine.
