ok guys I dont know any of this so im askign for advice..lol

I am installing a 01GT motor into my 2000gt....I know the 01 has a 6bolt flywheel and the 2000 has a 8 bolt... What size of clutch would i need? Can either the 10.5 or the 11" work?

You cannot make generalizations like that about the number of bolts on the flywheel. The only way to know how many bolts for sure is by visual inspection.

4.6L engines may have 6 or 8 bolts to attach to the crankshaft. Check the engine code before ordering. Romeo built engines have 6 bolts and Windsor built engines have 8 bolts. All Cobra engines have 8 bolts. The 8th character in the VIN is (X) for Windsor engine plant or (W) for Romeo engine plant.

I think either size works provided the correct bolt number is used. I put a 11" clutch on my 00GT 8 bolt engine (stock 10.5" flywheel). I am assuming you still have your T45 (like I do).

On the side of the block to tell if it's a windor.

Or you could count the number of bolts on the valve covers
