Cold air Intake for 2006

Was wondering if I put a cold air kit on my 2006 Gt would I have to get it retuned??I heard that I would but Any help would be great

The CAI that requires a tune is the only way to go. If it doesn't need a tune, you're wasting your time and money, mostly money though.

When I installed my CAI, just for fun I ran the car before and after and watched intake air temp and mass air readings at WOT. Not a big difference, but the car was slightly quicker. After installing the tune, the car was quicker. I honestly think alot of the performance gains in CAI's are in the tune.

yes, but you need the bigger air volume from a good cai to take advantage of a tune. A good cai without a tune will throw a lean cel. JLT and CnL seem to be the best for horsepower gains with canned tunes. Even more with a dyno tune.

C&L Racer is a pretty killer CAI

I installed the Spectre CAI with the Green # 7051 Air Filter (no tune) big difference and no Check Engine Light.
