Anyone using this or know anyone using this?

I'd imagine that this wouldn't produce nearly the power that a regular performance upper and lower would, as the lower intake is supposed to be the most restrictive area.

Still curious though, mainly due to it's funky looks.

Well the way I see it, you should just spend the extra $200 and get an upper and lower intake. This is mainly because when you go for more power and need to get rid of the lower intake down the road, you will have to get a new one anyway. I am sure that this unit will only bolt to the factory lower intake and not an aftermarket one. Ebay would be a great place to find an upper and lower intake for cheap.

Yeah, my eye has been on a used Cobra intake...just waiting for the right deal to come along.

Just curious about this "thing" though.

the box can be order'd to fit stock, cobra or e-brock lowers.
as mentioned, unless the stock lower has been ported, or replaced with a systemax 1 intake, (or cobra/e-brock)the box is not going to do you any good.

lots of folks will tell you the box will kill your bottom end.
I guess that will depend on a host of things, but the box can be benificial provided the heads cam are right for as a package.

n2o backfires can potentially destroy the 'plastic' box.

I think those power boxes are for upper rpms usage, and lag off a lot down low, I would think anything w/a stock cam and heads wouldn't benefit off of it. I have an old 5.0 mag where they replaced the comp powerbox that had a ported lower, w/a spyder intake, and it gained around 20 or so hp on top, and a good amt of gains down low also. I thought it was an older intake that was just outdated, or didn't perform so well. (test car had a 418 stroker, all motor)

Yeah, but is this powerbox better than a regular E-brock upper?
