Convertible top problem

I have a 2000 Gt Convertible.... I have some leaking issues as well as a bad defroster and I can't find the leak. I want to put the new Cobra Vert top on.... looks loads better that the regular stuff.

Has anyone done this?

Have you guys ever changed your vert tops?

Was it something the layman can do... or do you reccomend pro-install?

Good question.....have you found the Cobra Vert top yet and if so where and how much?????

where does yours leak? My V6 leaked by the windows. Hah found this out when the dealership told me it was 100% carwash safe. Well, I didn't believe them at all so we grabbed a couple towels and went through a carwash. WAS -NOT- CARWASH SAFE!

Anyways, I too was looking to get a new top since mine is tan and I want a black once especially since I'm slowly turning the interior from tan to as much black as possible.

Whats the difference between the GT top and the Cobra top?

As far as I know and what I have heard the '03 Cobra Vert top is the same top that the Jaguars use. I don't think it is Vinyl like the regualar GT tops. But I could be mistaken. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yeh, as far as i know the cobra tops are cloth and the gt's are vinyl.. as far as size and fitment i have no clue..

where are your tops leaking at?I had a problem with mine having a huge puddle in the floor after it rained,but got it fixed.

Yeah it would. I believe it is a special kinda of cloth. Not too sure what kind.
