Check this out:

A COP pulled me over yesterday, just to check out my ride!
I pulled off from a stop light; I looked in my rear-view and saw his lights.

I thought that he was going to give me a ticket for revving too hard, you know making too much noise! But he walks up, asks me for my license, and says, "Wow! That's a Nice Car!" I stepped out, and replied, "Thanks, I put a lot care/money into it." He shook his head, handed my license back and said, "Well, have a nice night!" Then he got in his car and left....

How Crazy is that?!?!?!

Has this happened to anyone else? (that's a first for me...)

He didn't pull me over, but a cop pulled up next to me at a light to tell me he loved my car. I said thanks and told him that I had read the stangs were pretty fast, but that I couldn't be sure cause I never drive over the speed limit.

HAHA!! Nice cover!

I had a cop stop make a u-turn on the street after he saw me detailing my car at my firehouse. He just complimented it and was on his way. It wasn't a traffic stop, but it was still cool.

his exact words were, "I saw two tail pipes so I had to come back for a better look."

Haha!!!
Those are some pretty unique stories; I love compliments, but Cop-Lights (in the Rear-View) rattle me!
I don't need any tickets!

I had a cop follow me on my way home from work today, he turned around after I turned into my residential area. I have been seeing a lot of police in alot of areas where I have never seen them before. I may have to get a Detector.

You've got a Point!
I've noticed an increase Police Traffic within the last 2 weeks. People race on I-459 all the time around here, and I think that someone has "tipped" the COPS of our lil' Interstate Races...
I thought about getting a detector, but I've been told that by the time the detector detects something, it's too late. Has anyone had success with Radar Detectors? Does anyone have any recommendations for a specific brand?
I have started driving my Xplorer more since the increase in Police Activity. I don't need any "bogus" tickets.

D.P.S Texas State Trooper!

I pulled into Starbucks one day and a Trooper pulles in right next to me. I let him and his partner get out first. I notice them looking at my car. One of the Troopers askes me how much my car cost me. I told him and then his partner askes me what the fastest I have ever got it up to! I look at him and laugh. I said "come on?". He dead pans, " No really, how fast have you had it up to?"
I realize that he really can not do anything so I tell him " about 120mph". They both respond in amazment and then begin to babble about how they wish Texas would give them Mustangs again as patrol cars. We continue our conversation inside Starbucks. I tell them about how much fun the new cars are to drive and so on. I get my coffe and say my goodbye. As I am walking out the door, the Trooper who asked me how fast I was going says, " I will mail you that ticket!". For just a second he has me, then I laugh which in turn they begin to laugh. I walk to my car thinking some officers can be really cool. Those two sit at the same spot on the Hwy every morning running radar. I cruise by and wave, with my cruise set at 70mph. I have balls, but I am not stupid.

Last week going to the beach for spring break I had to go thru 2 road checks and both officers checked my license and complimented me on the color. My wife who was driving my daughters car (KIA) was waved on thru with no license check.

Philly I'm a FF myself, where do you run? Get compliments from small kids to senior citizens all the time. One cop in the village I live in, followed me to the grocery store. I got out and told me he loved the exhaust! LOL

The cops are doing that to let you know they are there. They call it "presence". What they are really doing is intimidating you to make you think twice about speeding.

You guys think its bad in the states... it is hell over here in Europe. Just drivin through Luxembourg one afternoon I had a couple Polizei stop me to do a "seat belt" check. Nice try fellas. They are usually pretty cool though. Just gotta give myself an extra 15 minutes on every trip just to show up on time!

I have been pulled a bunch of times (never a ticket) and it is always compliments.... I have a yellow car so i stick out... and they all tell me that.

That being said I used to pull people over and give them kudos on a nice car.... just to let you know that not ever encounter with a cop is bad!
