Couple Questions

I am getting a free nitrous kit and I can get a new Trickflow Top End kit for about $1,500 so I will probably go that route. My boss however said that putting something like that on my engine would cause problems, like blown headgaskets. He said that it is because since the engine is so old, 120,000 miles, that the cast iron block could have warped a little and the aluminum head wouldn't sit flush on it causing a bad seal and blown gaskets. I was wondering if this was the case, I am going to run a 100-150 wet shot on the motor but I really want to do this HCI because I want more power since I cant put a SC and Nitrous on my car.

I would probably only run the 100 shot with the HCI, more than enough power for me. And if I blow too many head gaskets I can always put the old **** back on and use the new **** to build up a motor in the meantime.

Also another question, I got Griggs LCA, Ford UCA, and I am going to get 15inch welds with 275/50/15 Drag Radials...is buying the 10-way ajustable Strange Shocks worth buying to get the power to the ground? I am not sure how much trouble I will be having seeing as I dont have the control arms installed yet but the strange shocks are so cheap. And I like the fact that I can buy a coilover kit for them for $260 total with springs, so I am thinking about going that route. I would like to know because if I will need coilovers in the back I will return the LCA's I just got from Griggs with the spring perch and get ones for coilovers.

Or would I be ok with just getting the shocks and MAYBE springs? I can't find any springs that DONT lower my rideheight because I need to be able to fit a 26"-27" tire under my fenders without them being rolled, maybe I can roll them if it is cheap enough.

EDIT: Forgot to mention this will be a 70% Street/30% Track car, but I just read something about you dont want coilovers in the rear because the shock tower isnt strong enough? Also call me a noobie but what is the point of upgrading the front suspension, control arms/struts/springs, I would think they dont help you out of the hole on the strip as much as they do for cornering...would getting the front struts be neccessary too?

Yeah its fine stock but he said if I put new heads on they will blow gaskets. Anyone know about that?

And I am going to call Racecraft tomorrow but I think I am gonna do shocks for now and then upgrade the springs/struts once I figure out which ones let me use a 275/50/15.

Called Racecraft but no answer, anyone know anything about blowing headgaskets if you do HCI?
