Progress Thread She’s a runner

Well I killed this hole saw. Ordered a carbide one. This is the mounting plate for the new TB.
rouging in the piping. I have to remove the brace so it’ll be about 2” lower. Might need a new hood:confused:
I’ll use a silicone coupler to go to 4” round and relocate battery and go into fender well

Did a little work tonight. I’m gonna try to get it as close to the blower as possible. 1/4-3/8”
I’ll use one of the holes in the front of the blower as a mount to stabilize this.

Looking really good, are you planning on doing anything special with the bypass?
Thanks!
The piece that I’ll fab up for the back will have a provision for it like you did.
Think I’ll use an iac from a 4.6 and run a tube somewhere between the Tb and filter. I think I’ll have room to mount it behind the Tb but underneath out of sight

Did some work on the back part of this. It’s not an ideal transition but we’ll see how it flows. I also mocked up how I’ll connect the oval tube. I’ll work it into a rectangle over an anvil like I did on the test piece.

I’m gonna start buying some stuff for when I make this a 347. What hyd lifters are some of you running? I would like to keep stock length the shorter of the two. I do plan to get a custom cam and likely run up to 6400 or so rpm.

Weird thing happened today. Went for a quick cruise to the store. Pulled away outta my street fine. Got into town going about 25/30 in 2nd and 3rd at moderate throttle and was getting popping through exhaust. Seemed to not be present when I pulled hard onto the road by my house. Idle seems fine, didn’t notice anything odd with afr. Gonna mess with it tomorrow. Check timing, listen to each injector, pull plugs.

Pulled plugs. #1 looks a bit lean but no speckling etc. now #4 way rich and wet with fuel. Stuck injector? Definitely gonna send them off to cleveland injector hospital this winter. Rest of the plugs were mostly grey.

May not be a bad idea to compression test that one hole.
Ya I will. I’m not too concerned since it’s getting rebuilt this winter. I cleaned that plug and just went for a drive. Popping issues gone. Must definitely be a Rich pop. I’ll throw a fresh plug in and drive it till winter which up here is a couple months anyway.
