I've searched and couldn't find something similar to this:
http://www.vettemods.com/radarbracket-c6.htm

That is a really sweet setup that does not interfere with peripheral vision nor would it interfere with the visor operation.

Does anyone make something similar for the 05-up GT?? For $25-$30, I'd definitely buy one for the Escort 8500 / Bel Vector 995. The other mounts, IMHO, don't appeal to me due to minor problems (suction cups would fall off in -10F weather, rearview mount blocks a lot of my peripheral vision since I'm tall).

i have mine mounted to the map light housing using the mounting plate that came w/ my 8500. i just made a slit in the plastic housing in the front of it in the middle, then slipped the mounting plate through it and bent the remaining metal backwards. might not float your boat but works great for me and is concealed better than suction cups on the windshield
