Not sure how that will work. You need air to get in there for you defrost and vents.

I wanted to make a sheetmetal plate for mine but i don't really have the tools for something like that. I figured just a decently thick piece of sheet metal cut to the right size and shape, and then punch out the hole for the wiper to come through and the sprayer if you're gonna use it. Then just smooth it all out and do it RIGHT and not just a big piece of cut up metal.

I wonder why there isn't a CNC'ed aluminum grill out there somewhere? That would be pretty badass.

This one is cool but damn that's super over priced.

This is a lousy pic. But, you get the idea. I'll have better pics after the show on sunday.

I like the look, personally.

Yeah i like it....it's very clean looking. I need one that's really super thin because of how the '79 hood matches up with the '85 cowl grill...they were smaller on the '79-82 cars and the hood clips the grill.

The way this one is made, you can always shave it down using a grinder with a soft disc or a random orbital sander. Take it down a bit. It should work fine.

Yeah i tried exactly that with a stock grill but i ended up grinding through it before it got thin enough.

Looks like something I could do this weekend with some leftover sheetmetal I have lying around my spare room...

(I don't need a vent for anything because I have no heat OR air ... probably just gonna do away with the whole HVAC system, altogether.)
