::EDIT::
I uploaded two more clips, one of a drive by that we did the same night as the first clip, and one the following day in a carwash stall. If you don't have a garage, carwash stalls are GREAT for making sound clips, because they give awesome accoustics and let the sound bounce around so your camcorder or whatever can pick up the bass easier.

I posted a little about this here http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=638877

But, if you wanna hear a sound clip, you can check it out here http://videos.streetfire.net/video/21e39b46-3c04-4d44-a17d-3018119abb72.htm

It's pretty much the same as running dumps, maybe just a tad louder since there's actually no turndowns. It's a little ghetto but it sounds better in person than it does on the vid, and everywhere i go with my car i can't get enough compliments.

I'm curious of that myself, so i'm going to have some flanges put on the backs of the mufflers and see. I'm also having some side exits fabed up, that should rock!

The first time we did it we used a die grinder but a sawsall cuts it cleaner and straighter as long as you start out cutting straight. With the die grinder and a carbide disk you can do the cut and finish the edges all with one tool though. Just some advice if you try it....cut less first and see where you're at....we started by just cutting the back plate off to see where we were... When we started the first set we didn't have any reference or cutaway pic so we were going at it blind. You can always cut further back but if you cut too much you'll ruin your mufflers. The cool thing is if you do it right, you could probably weld them back together if you don't like it and it wouldn't make a difference. Just do it clean and don't butcher them.
