Picked up a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R600 . 12,000 miles, clean fairings, Yoshi exhaust, Power Commander III, Vortex frame sliders, $4300. I just took a MSC and should get my license within a week! Pictures are soon to come (my dumb ass sister dropped my digi cam )

Sweet! I know you know that you've got to be extra careful on a bike and assume everyone doesn't see you. Enjoy the twisties!

Yep, that's very true. But hell, I'm 21, and I got to ride now before I have a family and more responsibility. I won't be stupid on it though. I bought $1,000 in gear which I will use every time I ride. The other day I saw some dumb ass riding with no shirt on......

nice buy, I have an 03 ninja zx6rr. I love it but dont get to ride it much as I like due to work. I said alot before I got my bike about riding with gear on, but I would always find it too easy just to walk out the door and the only thing on my head was a pair of sunglasses. but Ive seen too many people get hit that didnt do anyhting wrong, Ive had several close calls. you can be the most cautious rider out there, there are just stupid drivers not watching where they are going.
yea and dont try showing off, a buddie of mine died trying to do a wheelie the first week he had his bike, you have a bike and thats enough to show off as it is..
congrats and be safe dude! will be waiting for pics of it

Ya, that's so true. Unfortunately there are some crazy ass drivers out there that don't pay attention to people on bikes. And I know showing off will just get me in trouble. I guarantee you I won't be doing any wheelie's or stoppies for quite some time, lol.

nice pick up, sounds Like your somewhat level headed so hopefully you'll do fine. I have a 04 zx-10r (street) and an 05 gsxr 600 I have dedicated to the track, and my wife rides an 06 gsxr 750 on the street and some track as well.

when your ready to really learn to ride, find yourself a good trackday organization. its no more expensive than the wreckless driving tickets your sure to encounter on the street if you haven't already in your mustang. and i've never had more fun than being at the track. period.

Ya, as of now I plan to learn how to ride in the non-congested traffic areas where I'm less likely to get hit. I consider myself a decent first time rider, but I know I have lots to learn. I just need to know my limits on this bike because I know R bikes are basically race bikes. Nonetheless, I can't wait to ride .

Sweet! I almost bought a 04 636 but the fairings were beat to hell and the tank had a huge dent in it. It was more of a $3500 project bike. But I ended up with my gixxer. Hopefully I'll post pics this weekend.......I still need to get a new digi cam.

In CA helmets are required so I have to wear one lol. But even if they weren't required I'd still wear one.

yea even if helmets are not required its pretty stupid not to wear one. Just be safe and always watch out for the other drivers on the road.

first mod you should do to that bike is tune that suspension. I finally got a chance to ride my newest bike yesterday and its been tuned and wow. what a huge difference my corners were so much smoother and i found myself already going twice as fast as i did with the stock setup. But if you are not going to run it hard through mountains then nevermind i just thought i would share my experience. PM for more details on my experience lol

I saw that Rotella T in the blue jug... good bang for the buck.

The ride like a pro series are a good set of DVD's to check out.
