The 4.0 has plenty of power, so you'll like the 02. Being that you had a 99 already, it's pretty much the same truck. I have an 05 GC Limited and it's a great truck, except for the body control module failing, and needing to be replaced at a cost of just over $1300!
I know the 4.0 was great around town when I lived in Denver but when u went up to the mountains in it, they power was not there.... The 4.7 did way better and I imagine the 5.9 would of been awesome.
You didn't have that much power in Denver because of the altitude. I used to live in Highlands Ranch, and the 1986 stang that i owned at the time was slowwww as heck up there compared to sea level
I hear that. When I had my 03cbr 600rr I had to clutch it to pop a wheelie.... then when I moved back to mo (1000ft) it clutched it one day and left one heck of a pucker mark on the seat... Crazy how much that effects a car. But it was way worse when u got up into the mountains. 9-10k elevation sure jacks with a car. My first bike was carb and the floats would stick at high altitude when it was hot out.... teh suk.
