Probably not at all.

Heck, how did they tie in the ending of The Wolverine, with X-Men III, The Last Stand? Prof X blown to atoms by the Phoenix in X3, then back as a whole man in The Wolverine?

Or for that matter, how are they tying in Sabertooth's character from The first X-Men movie, with the one from Wolverine Origins?


A lot of inconsistencies in the Marvel franchise.

....and that's even without all the hoopla between Marvel Studies and 20th Century Fox both having rights to the same characters.
