my neighbor came over and asked if my car was a 5.0 and he said this guy at his work has a set of stock heads but ported. he said he would give em to me for 200. there fully assembled but he said they have a little surface rust. is that a good deal or no?

no deal, 200 bucks can get you a set of gt40P explorer heads and a little more you can pick up the explorer intake too.

hold on to your money and do some lookin around for gt-40's. even e7's ported professionally flow less or as much as untouched gt-40's and they still have room to grow! close the lid on the box and walk away from the big red button. no deal!

I wouldn't say I good set of properly ported/polished E7's are total junk. My Tom Moss ones have served me well and did boost it over stock and I worked with the funds I had at the time.

Save your $$. The heads are 200 bucks then you will have that much or more in fluids, gaskets, bolts, cleaning stuff and not to mention time.

So not worth it.
