well i have an 04 auto mach 23k miles, 4.10s pred, and cb and x pipe. i owe 22k. I found an 03 SC saleen 2800 miles. My uncle said he would take over payments on the mach for me to have a car ive always wanted. well i guess my question to you fellow mustang (saleen) folks would be... what would you do. i heard that these cars (saleens & roushs) need alot of "un-needed" upkeep. what would someone mean by that? payments would be $40 dollars more a paycheck. isn't insurance cheaper with the saleens also having a GT vin, excluding "saleen cobras"?? any more helpful tips or info would be greatly appreciated. ive already fallen for this potiential new car.

They do not need any special upkeep vs other Stangs.

In fact, you don't even have to wash them if you don't want to.

I say get the Saleen

I say get the Saleen! 2,800 miles isn't too bad for an 03.

Absolutely get the Saleen - You will never get that kind of attention with your Mach - the additional power of the SC will also be very addicting for you!!

You should puchase this clean N/A Speedster and bolt a Kenne Bell on it for 5k and watch all of your competition in your rear view.

I agree with Marcus. That car appears very clean and with a KB, you'll easily be putting down well over 400 rwhp vs. around 350 rwhp with a moderately modified factory supercharged Saleen IMO.

Either way, get a Saleen. I like the motor in the M1, but a Saleen has the complete package (i.e looks, handling, and some power)

An average drive can get mid to high 12's out of a series IV.
