Alright guys, as some may remember, I tried to use an Exploder 31 spline carrier with my 31spline FRPP axles and ran into problems with the width of the carrier causing the axles too be too long for the setup.
I have verififed I do in fact have the correct length axles for the 92 mustang housing.
I bought a brand new Detroit true trac and put my richmond ring gear on it.
When i slide the axles in, they bottom out the splines into the gears on the true trac. At this point, they are sticking just far enough that i can almost get the c-clips on. But not quite.
What is with these axles? Do other aftermarket axles have longer spline length or what? My plan is to remove about .040" from the width of the c-clips and they should slide right in.
Seems liek i can't win with the rear end build.
Any comment or experience with this setup are appreciated.
