Yup

The 300-6 was injected from about '86 till they killed it in '95 (or so). Damn good motor whether with 1bbl carb or .... Better truck motor than the 302 by far. IMHO any V6 will never live up to it.

i'm a member on the forum over at www.fordtrucks.com ..may want to go there and check out some stuff about the 300 I6...saw pictures and stuff about a guy putting a turbo on a 300 over there a couple months back...they don't make big numbers...but they're GREAT motors..i think they're about 220 hp and about 235 torque...not 100% sure..but they should be somewhere around that...

Carbed ones run about 100hp and FI at about 150. The low end grunt is incredible though. I used to (party gag) stick my 85 in gear, reach in and turn the key and watch it drive itself around with nobody inside. Even with a box full of wasted partiers.

Saw a 67 Merc' last year done up for the strip at a car show but never actually saw it run.

Just some obscure history on the Mustang SVO and the 3.3 I6. There was a company out there who converted a few of them (only one that I know of for sure) to what they called a Poolie SVO. The car I saw pics of was blue and yellow. Yes, odd color combo, but the Turbocharged 435HP EFI I6 made up for the color and the name.

I'm not sure what they made right from Poolie, but that was the power level of the car according to the current owner. I'll try to dig up the email and post a pic of the car when I get home.

Poolie SVO

Better late than never. Had to go through the 2 year old trash for this.

Don't get the color choice, but with 435 or so RWHP - so what. No engine pics, but I'll try to email the owner and get some, and some shots of the badging.

The Mexican SVO posted by 140 is a standard caprie with the 84 mustang nose. I'm not sure what the interior options were, but it was only an SVO by name for marketing purposes - just like the Canadian "Cobra" (GT). No Turbo 4... In fact I'm not even sure the turbo 4 was ever available south of the border in any fox Ford. Maybe someone can give us the answer to that trivia.
