I was just wondering, from those who have tried or figured it out, why my AODE block plate won't work with a 5 speed setup?

I keep seeing how you have to change that part, but aside from the material not going the entire way around the bell, why wouldnt' it work?

I got my answer today from a trusted source. He said all you have to do is redrill one starter bolt hole then clearance the big starter hole itself so the starter can fit properly. It'll be easy to try it when I have it against the bellhousing. I'll take pics so people can see what needs to be done, it sure beats trying to find a plate or paying Ford 60 bucks for one!

the main difference is the aode plate has 2 bolt holes at the bottom for part of the plate to come off so you can take the convertor nuts off. if you drilled those holes on the t5 bellhousing it would work
