As you'll notice, the auction is now invalid. It seems there are a lot of these scam auctions going on, daily. By a lot, I mean a couple new ones everyday. The folks on VM post about these all the time. Usually the auctions use pics and descriptions from older auctions or from advertisements on places like Autotrader, or even folks' personal websites. They're always way way way below market value, and if you email the seller, you'll often get a response saying it's for real, and that the car is located in Europe (usually Portugal or something), and blah blah blah.

Moral of the story: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is, especially on eBay.

You are right. My son is in the market to buy a house and ran across one for sale on E-bay. $50K for a 3000+ square foot house in Beverly Hills, California. Fantastic interior shots and a very large landscaped lot. We were going to drive out to see it on the weekend, but the add was pulled 3 days later..........yeah right!
