Doc's Got Some New Skins!

I just put in a new wheel/tire package. I will be running track rubber on the stockers for upcomming road course events so I needed new street rubber!

Here are the specs: 18X8.5 Fittipaldi Force split 5 spoke with Falken Ziex 512s in 245/40-18. They are 4 pounds less per wheel/tire at each corner.

Yeah, I actually am looking at the ZE Forged wheels that CSIJason got on his IBM.

They do custom offsets so I could get 18x8 front 18x9 rear and have no rubbing. Plus it goes with the IBM great.

In a week I will have my new springs that will lower the car 1 inch all around and I'm working on the new grills and the lower spliter on the front like grey goat in the second photo of this link:

I had some free time yesterday after I got off work(my son was taking a nap)so I decided to take a trip around the corner to the pontiac dealer. I wanted to test drive the 05 GTO just for kicks. They had one on the lot it was a silver model. So I was greeted by the dealer before getting out of my car. So he takes me to the GTO and he lets me get in it has a pretty comfy driver seat. I start the engine up and what a beautiful sounding engine the GTO has 400 horses I was impressed. But the interior dash board and exterior was kind of a dissapointment to me. I then examine the car the tires are worn down pretty good (someones been drag racing) and I see a few scratches on the on the driver seat. I ask the dealer the price he says $33,000 but the dealership has it marked up to $37,000. I just about lost my cap. I thought he was joking so I took a look at the sticker sure enough it was 37 and some change. He asked if I was really intersted I told him not for 37 grand and I told him I am not gonna buy a car based on just horsepower. Plenty of people will buy the GTO but I really don't think this car is in the 30 grand arena. DOCGTO has made his GTO pretty but Pontiac needs to have an idea of what people want the car to look like.

The 05s come with hood scoops but you can get a delete option if you want. The 05s also have split exhaust on the rear and, of course, and LS2.

Your ride looks pretty sweet, but I am not really blown away by the wheels choice. Tires sound great. The wheels just arent doing it for me.(Dare I say a little ricer looking to me) The 5 point double star is just kind of drab in my opinion. I love the all black look of the car and the rim color contrast.

Great looking car for a GTO, but not the rims I would choose... Have fun in it though is what counts...
